Frequently Asked Questions
How are attribution and conversion metrics calculated?
Incremental’s data reflects TikTok’s attribution and conversion values. Please see TikTok’s Business Help Center documentation for more information on how the platform manages attribution through the TikTok Pixel and Events API.
Why do attributed metrics (e.g. ad-attributed revenue) change over time?
Each conversion action is assigned a conversion window that differs depending on the source of the event (pixel vs. API) so that TikTok can track conversions generated within a given timeframe after an action is performed. Given that there may be a delay between an ad interaction occurring and a conversion being attributed to it, the data associated with said conversion may appear several days later.
Can I connect my reservation advertising account?
TikTok's API offers separate reporting for auction ads and reservation ads, and their reservation ad reporting is still in development. Given that this is not yet available to all developers, reservation accounts are not supported by Incremental at this time. A TikTok Ads connection will only provide reporting on auction-based advertising. This includes GMV Max campaigns.
What types of data can I expect to see with a TikTok Advertising connection?
This integration provides campaign-level performance metrics for auction-style campaigns, including segmentation by both demographic (age/gender) and location. TikTok's API does not support product and search term segmentation at this time.
I have active GMV Max campaigns. Why am I not seeing them in my reporting?
GMV Max reporting requires the user who authorized the integration to be a member of the Shop that the GMV Max campaigns are advertising. If you are a TikTok Business Center admin, you can assign yourself membership of the Shop in your account settings. Otherwise, please reach out to your TikTok administrator for access.
