The Trade Desk Historical Reporting Guide

Note: In this guide you will set up your Trade Desk Historical report. Please follow this guide. As an additional resource, you may also refer to The Trade Desk Sample File to see what the ouput file should look like

The Trade Desk Historical Data Requirements

  1. Log in to The Trade Desk: https://desk.thetradedesk.com/
  2. In the left sidebar panel, click Reports
  3. Click Create Report

  4. Click Create Custom Report > TSV/CSV

  5. Select Report Filters
    • To provide historical data, set the start of the date range to the earliest date of your reporting, and then set the end of the date range as the current date
  6. Define the report tab
    • Tab Name: No change necessary
    • Report Type: Performance (Lifetime, Fewer Metrics)
    • Select tab filters: Advertiser
  7. Select tab columns in Performance (Lifetime, Fewer Metrics)
    • Add the following required fields/columns:
      • Date
      • Advertiser ID
      • Advertiser
      • Campaign ID
      • Campaign
      • Ad Group ID
      • Ad Group
      • Media Type
      • Advertiser Currency Code
      • Partner Currency Code
      • Impressions
      • Clicks
      • Advertiser Cost (Partner Currency)
      • Advertiser Cost (Adv Currency)
  8. Once all required fields are present, click "Next: configure report"

  9. Preview report to ensure all columns are present, then click "Next: schedule report"

  10. Set Schedule
  11. Click Create Report
