Troubleshooting Spend or Sales Discrepancies

Spend and Sales discrepancies between Incremental and a 3rd party platform can stem from a variety of factors. Common causes include:

  • Incomplete or missing connections to 3rd party accounts
  • Unmapped or incorrectly mapped products or campaigns
  • Incorrect manually provided historical data
  • Incremental's Estimates Toggle may be enabled

    Note: Incremental provides short-term forecast that fill missing data from channels that have reporting delays. These estimates give brands decision-grade data, so teams can act with confidence to grow their businessrather than wait on lagged reports. When actual data arrives, estimated values are automatically replaced.

Reporting a Discrepancy

If sales or spend in Incremental doesn't match your source of truth, submit a ticket with the following information to help us diagnose the issue:

  • Brand in the Incremental platform
  • Channel name
  • Account ID (optional)
  • A data export from your source of truth covering the affected dates, at daily granularity, showing the sales or spend that doesn't match
  • Screenshot or additional supporting information (optional)
